Honoring Our Commitments
APTIM’s mission is to enhance the quality of the environment, well-being of people, resilience of communities, and opportunity for employees to make a difference, not just a living. To deliver on this mission and move swiftly toward a more sustainable future, we believe in a collaborative, continuous improvement approach toward environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
Our environmental initiatives are supported by cultural values of collaboration; safety; and diversity, equity, and inclusion. We also gain support from and give back to global community members of the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative to align operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
Our Climate Targets
As formalized in APTIM’s Climate Transition Plan, and as part of our alignment with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), APTIM commits to reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) across our value chain by 2040.
Our science-based targets, currently being validated by SBTi, include:
- Target 1: APTIM commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
- Target 2: APTIM commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
- Target 3: APTIM commits to reduce absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 from a 2022 base year.
Disclosures & Reporting
APTIM publicly reports on a wide range of sustainability and ESG issues. This year’s disclosures align with Global Reporting Initiative and International Sustainability Standards Board S1 and S2, and we also report annually through CDP and EcoVadis.
