APTIM Peru Celebrates 10M+ Man Hour Safety Recognition

Congratulations to the APTIM Peru team for surpassing 10M man-hours without a lost time injury since July 1, 2017! In 2023, the team completed 3M+ hours with no recordables, medical treatments, restricted duty, or lost time injuries. With all safety indicators at zero, they have no recordable incidents since July 2022.

In addition to the country’s high ratio of labor incidents, these accomplishments are even more impressive considering the specialized work the team is doing in the oil and gas industry there. Their scope includes projects; maintenance; turnarounds and equipment reparations; all disciplines (i.e., mechanical, civil, piping, electrical, instrument, control, and general services); and operations of a gas compression plant. Plus, more than half of their man-hours are spent in remote locations in the Amazon rainforest, accessible only by air!

“This achievement puts APTIM Peru in a league of our own. And it’s not like the work is easy: Operations in Peru are complex and integrated with high exposure to the elements. We have a major competitive advantage, with a key differentiator in the O&G sector in the region,” shared Rafael Albi, Regional Director of APTIM Peru.

En 2023, el equipo completó más de 3 millones de horas sin incidentes registrables, tratamientos médicos, tareas restringidas o lesiones con tiempo perdido .
