We are thrilled to welcome Marc Hess, Business Development Director, Energy Infrastructure and Gillian Scott, Business Development Director, Energy and Resilience Infrastructure who are inheriting the extraordinary work of dedicated and passionate champions towards these efforts.
Marc Hess
With over 20 years of experience in the energy/bio-energy industry, Marc will be leading our efforts to grow our energy and decarbonization infrastructure efforts across the country. Marc comes to us from a diverse background, bringing extensive leadership in business development, battery storage, grid operations, utilities, and energy program implementation.
Marc is a technical expert known as a straight-forward problem-solver in the industry. He is a subject matter expert in cross-functional programs, new business ventures, and market expansion. Most recently, Marc worked at VRB Energy where he was responsible for energy storage initiatives and development in North and South America, Australia, South Africa, and Europe. He holds a Business Finance degree from Excelsior College in New York.

Gillian Scott
Gillian is a thought leader with a 10+ year proven track record in energy efficiency, distributed generation, battery storage, and resiliency initiatives. With his unique ability to leverage a solid mix of technical, business and managerial expertise he will be leading our sales efforts around resilient energy and decarbonization services, with a focus on retail distribution centers.
Prior to joining APTIM, Gillian served as lead program manager for energy and sustainability at Target. He also worked for a number of leading engineering firms, focusing on large-scale district heating projects and utility-scale generating assets, as well as serving in a senior engineering role for PEPCO’s C&I energy efficiency programs. Gillian earned his MBA and Masters of Engineering from the University of Maryland and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies.
