Employee Spotlight: Lindsay Arell

Lindsay Arell serves as the Director of Sustainability and is leading APTIM’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) while incorporating sustainability within our services.

Lindsay brings an outstanding resume and track record of innovation and success to APTIM. Most recently, she served as the principal of Honeycomb Strategies, a sustainability consulting firm she founded in 2009. Honeycomb Strategies specialized in the events, venue, and hospitality industry, and Lindsay has worked with some of the largest and most sustainable venues, conferences, and events in the industry, including City of Denver Arts and Venues, The Philadelphia Eagles and Lincoln Financial Field, Vancouver Convention Center, and many others. 

Prior to founding Honeycomb Strategies, Lindsay acquired a breadth of expertise throughout the sustainability and hospitality industries, including serving as Sustainable Program Manager for the Colorado Convention Center – a first-of-its-kind position in North America – and directing community-based social marketing campaigns for the City and County of Denver. 

Lindsay is a LEED AP O+M and TRUE Advisor, and is experienced with numerous other sustainability standards and frameworks, including ISO 20121, ISO 14001, GRI, and EIC APEX. She has received many recognitions for her efforts to further the sustainability of the hospitality industry, including the 2017 “Top 25 Women in the Meeting and Events Industry”. 

As Director of Sustainability at APTIM, Lindsay will be leading business development related to APTIM’s suite of sustainability services for all lines of APTIM business with commercial and public clients. Lindsay’s experience developing and supporting sustainability strategies for businesses will be invaluable for helping APTIM strengthen our existing services, as well as identify new opportunities to support our existing and new clients. 

Lindsay Arell’s experience working with sports venues and convention centers, among other clients, forms a natural adjacency and opportunity area for APTIM’s work, specifically in the retail market. As an established leader in this space, APTIM’s retail team is building upon the services we offer and the clients we serve, and Lindsay’s experience and network will be an integral part of our business development strategy.
