California Recycling Program Services For Jurisdictions
Is your jurisdiction following California recycling laws? Has CalRecycle identified gaps in your programs? Have you received a formal letter of concern? You have 30 days to respond. Let APTIM help.
APTIM Waste Minimization has the expertise to build, implement, and manage a custom recycling program for your jurisdiction that abides by Mandatory Commercial Recycling (MCR) and Mandatory Commercial Organics Recycling (MORe).
CalRecycle reviews your jurisdiction’s compliance with MCR and MORe. If your jurisdiction is found to not sufficiently implement these programs, CalRecycle will send a formal letter of concern. Your jurisdiction has 30 days to respond with a plan of how to address its recycling program gaps and will be closely monitored over the next six months.
If your jurisdiction fails to respond to the letter of concern, if the plan is inadequate, or if progress is not made to implement the plan and address program gaps, your jurisdiction will be referred to the Enforcement Branch and may be subjected to a fine of up to $10,000 per day.
