Offshore Sand Search Investigation, Texas General Land Office
Our APTIM Marine Geosciences and Coastal Restoration team performed a critical offshore sand search investigation for the Texas General Land Office (GLO). The survey consisted of collecting 2,200 nautical miles of offshore geophysical (chirp sub-bottom, sidescan sonar, and cesium magnetometer) and hydrographic data along Texas GLO’s Region 1. This Region includes an area from just south of Freeport, northeast to the Texas/Louisiana border, from the 20-foot bathymetry contour nearshore, out to 10 miles offshore at the state/federal boundary.
