Entergy—Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant

Vermont Yankee was an electricity generating nuclear power plant located in the town of Vernon, Vermont in the northeastern United States. It generated 620 megawatts (MW) of electricity at full power. The plant was a boiling water reactor (BWR) designed by General Electric. In August 2013, Entergy Corporation announced that the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VYNPS) would not be refueled and would cease operations at the end of its current operating cycle. APTIM provided the maintenance and modification services for this nuclear power plant until it ceased operations on December 29, 2014. Currently, APTIM has approximately 10 employees assisting with the site prep for decommissioning that will begin in the next five years.
